Westland PM was the first PM to be established west of the mountains. The meeting was subordinate to Hopewell MM in Virginia for three years. The granting of Redstone PM in 1785 resulted in the holding of Westland MM. Westland PM included the Westland MW as well as other nearby nascent meetings, some of which grew into PMs themselves. The meeting experienced divisions in 1828 and 1854. The PM was assigned to Providence MM during a reconfiguration of the MMs in 1865. By this time, however, Westland PM was quite weak, and it was laid down in 1869.
