Eliza C. Negus joined Friends at Redstone in 1823. She was frequently appointed to committees from 1830 until 1848. Her committee appointments were a different mixture than most women Friends. Her most frequent appointment was to committees to draft certificates of removal (15 such appointments, plus committees of complaint (nine appointments), transcription committees (seven appointments), and committees to deliver papers of denial to disowned Friends (seven appointments).
She and Joseph moved to Iowa in 1849.
