Providence MM covered the northern part of Redstone QM. For most of its existence, it included three PMs: Providence, Center, and Sewickley. In 1865, Redstone QM reconfigured its MMs, at which time Westland MM was laid down, and its surviving PM was attached to Providence. At the same time, Sewickley was set off as a MM. Providence MM was quite weak already by 1865; Providence MM and Westland PM were both laid down in 1869 and attached to Sewickley MM. Providence MM was the only one in Ohio MM that did not experience a division in either 1828 or 1854.
