Reece Cadwalader Jr. was a son of the famous Rees Cadwalader. He lived in Zanesville in the 1820s. In 1836, he moved to Chesterfield, where he opened a general store at the intersection of Coal and Marion Streets. The first Chesterhill post office was opened in his store, and he was the first postmaster (prior to 1840). Cadwalader moved to Indiana YM in 1850.
