The third Goshen FMH was constructed in 1825 near the site of the second Goshen FMH. At the time of the 1828 division, the small Hicksite meeting abandoned the meeting house and worshipped in the house of James Brooks. Another division took place here in 1857. The Wilburite meeting disbanded in 1857. The Gurney meeting, being in the majority, demolished the meeting house in 1882 when the core of today's meeting house was built. They later changed the name of the building to East Goshen. |
