The Deer Creek FMH was constructed circa 1822 near the site of the marker on the map. After the 1828 division, the Hicksites continued to meet there, but the Orthodox worshipped at Marlborough. The meeting house remained in use by the Hicksites until they laid down the meeting in 1892. The Hicksite West MM signed the burial ground over to trustees in 1917, but it is unclear if the FMH was still standing at that time. |
