The third Concord Friends Meeting House was constructed in 1868 and used until 1936.
The meeting house was constructed on the north side of Colerain Mount Pleasant Road, beside the burial ground. It was an example of the Quaker Plan. The upper photo to the right shows it as of 1888 in a photograph by Gilbert Cope.
After Concord Meeting was laid down in 1936, the meeting house was used for local meetings. It was then moved across the road before 1958 and converted into two apartments (the current use). The lower photo was taken in the 1990s. |
