The Fallowfield Meeting House was located in Fallowfield Township of Washington county. The A-pin on the accompanying map represents its approximate location.
The meeting house was constructed in 1799; prior to this time, the meeting was held in the house of Joshua Dixon. When 4.5 acres were set aside for the meeting, Dixon was one of the initial property trustees.
Fallowfield Meeting was laid down around 1803. The meeting house was abandoned thereafter. It had completely disappeared by 1849, when Westland MM partitioned the property, selling off all the land except the site of the meeting house and the burial ground to the Mount Tabor Methodist Church. |
