Salem Meeting was one of the largest Progressive Meetings in the nation. The division here was reported at Salem QM on 2/14/1852; the Progressives took several MM minute books (which were subsequently lost). Salem Progressives hosted the group's yearly meeting. After the Civil War, the Progressives re-organized at Salem and continued to meet until 1874. |
