History Jane Plummer served the longest term as Clerk of the Ohio women's YM. In the early 1840s, she sided with the Gurneyites and forced through several minutes over the majority of the YM. The Representatives did not have unity on re-appointing her beginning in 1846, but she continued to serve until there was unity to replace her. That did not take place until she departed with the Gurney minority in 1854. |
