An article in The Friend, 1/12/1884, gave Reeves's date of death as 12/16/1883. It also stated he died "near Marlboro, Stark Co., Ohio." The obituary continued "He was a sincere believer in the ancient doctrines and testimonies of Friends, ans an humble follower of the meek and lowly Jesus. His children and relatives have the consoling evidence that his end was peace, and that their loss is his eternal gain."
