Sarah W. Cope was one of several woman in Providence MM with the name Sarah Cope. The clerks did not always distinguish among the various women with the name except to occasionally use "Senior" and "Junior", but eventually the clerks used initials. Bearing in mind the ambiguity among the various women in Providence MM named Sarah Cope, it appears this Sarah Cope (who served as Elder) was frequently appointed to serve on complaint committees, to nominate Friends to serve as clerk and overseer, and as representative to Redstone QM. She also served on some of the high-level committees that recommended changes in when the PMs met, recommended the circulation in the MM between Providence and Sewickley, and recommended when the select preparative meeting would meet.
