Connellsville Meeting was held in Connellsville, Pa. Little information is known about this meeting. Local Friends requested a meeting at Redstone MM on 11/3/1797, resulting in a committee visit prior to the MM granting the meeting on 12/1/1797. The early references in Redstone MM call this meeting Connellstown; although the name "Stewart's Crossing" Meeting was later used for this meeting, that name never appears in the Redstone MM minutes. A local Friend left land where a meeting house was constructed, and many years later the MH was demolished. Death records indicate a burial here in 1809. |
